you can
drown on randomness
if your hand were left alone
hold slip break scratch grow
you can
play fallout meteor
if your hand reached for a star
create so near so far
you can
build four storeys of alone
if the world will not wait
see the steps walk anyways
you can
beg burn bury bait
if there was foul play
there is too who we are
the marks stay on the wall
are they hopes
a cell rule breakers
time will tell
you can
make them
wait

‘four storeys of alone’
Seriously, how do you do this thing with word pairing. Somehow the four storeys are perfect to convey the isolation and solitude: two, or even five, would be weird.
~MM – Really? I dunno Maxine, wish i did
, but many thanks for liking it

“hold slip break scratch grow”
Love that…
the rhythm of this piece is great. As you know I often read poetry aloud to discover the poets true intention… this was terrific
~MM – Okay, thats a neat idea… next time i will try that, somehow, i have a block against reading it aloud, recording it,
… Thanks Enreal, glad you liked it
